Set up your CMS instance to start publishing

Create your Neleto account

Neleto is hosted for you, so you don't install or run a server yourself. Everything starts in the Neleto Console at console.neleto.io:

  1. Sign up. Create an account with your email and a password, then confirm the verification email we send you.
  2. Choose a plan. Start on the Free plan: one user, 1 GB of storage, and a real Neleto site on EU infrastructure, no card required. You can upgrade later without migrating anything by hand.
  3. Name your site. Pick a name and a subdomain. Your site goes live at your-name.neleto.app. On a paid plan you can connect your own domain instead.

Free sites are provisioned right away; paid plans finish provisioning after checkout. In the Console you'll watch the status move from Created to Setting up, Starting, and finally Live. Once it's live, we email you the link to your new site.

The Console (console.neleto.io) is where you manage your account, plan, billing and instances. Your instance is the CMS itself, served at your site's URL, and it's where you log in to build and edit your site. The two use separate logins.

Create your first admin user

Once your instance is live, it has no users or content in the CMS yet. To complete the initial setup, open your instance's URL with the path /admin/setup:

You should see something like this:

On this page, you'll set your email and password for your first admin user. This login is separate from your Neleto Console account, so the email does not have to be the same. Optionally, you can also set the first and last name of the admin user.

This first user is an admin user, which means they are allowed to do everything in your Neleto instance, including creating other users.

After clicking on Next, you need to choose the languages in which your content will be. If you only plan on writing in one language, just select that one. You can always select more languages later in the settings.

After selecting your languages, it should look like this:

Click on Next to get to the last step of the setup, where you can review your settings and confirm them.

Once you're done, click on the Finish setup button and you will be redirected to the login page where you can log in with the account you just created.

Build your first page

You're now logged in to an empty CMS. From here, head to Create your first page to build a page with a route, a layout and content. Prefer reusable building blocks first? Start with Components.
