Landing page by hand

Install UI Blocks, set up a layout and build a complete landing page block by block, no AI and no code.

Not every page needs an AI assistant. With the UI Blocks plugin you build a complete landing page yourself: pick a block, fill in the fields, save. Every headline, picture and button stays something you can change later from the same panel.

Prerequisites

You need a Neleto site with a finished initial setup. If you don't have one yet, the Setup guide gets you there in a few minutes. Your user needs the role developer or admin to install plugins and manage components.

Install UI Blocks

In the admin ui, open Plugins and click on Store. Find ui-blocks and install it. After a moment it shows up in your list of plugins with the status running. You only do this once per site. More about plugins: Plugins.

Add the components

UI Blocks brings its blocks as component templates. Navigate to Developer-tools → Components, click on + New from template and add the ones this page uses:

  • Navigation and Footer for the layout
  • Hero, Stats and Feature Grid for the page
  • Section and Text element for longer text

More about components: Components.

Create the layout

A layout holds what every page shares. Navigate to Layouts, create a new layout and give it a name. A new layout already contains the page content slot. Add the Navigation above it (your brand name, a few links and one button) and the Footer below it with your copyright line. Save.

You don't have to use a layout: you could put navigation and footer straight onto the page. But as soon as you add a second page, the layout saves you from doing everything twice, and when you change the menu in the layout, it changes on every page. More about layouts: Layouts.

Create the page

Navigate to Pages and click on + New. In the page settings, set the route to / to make it your start page, give it a title, set the status to Public and select the layout you just created. Save. More about pages: Pages.

Build the page

From here it is the same move for every section: click on + Add section, pick a block and fill in its fields in the panel on the right.

  1. Hero: a small line above, the headline, one sentence, one or two buttons and a picture from your files. In the same panel you choose the arrangement and the colours.
  2. Stats: a heading and four figures, each one a value and a label.
  3. Feature Grid: what you offer. Every item has an icon, a title and a short text. Icons come from Tabler: type a name like table or tool.
  4. Section with a Text element: the longer story, written in a normal text editor.
  5. Feature Grid again, this time with the quote icon: your customers' names as titles and what they said as text.
  6. Section with a Text element: how to reach you, with address, email and opening hours.

Save the page and open your site. Everything on it is one of these blocks, and you edit it the same way: open the page in the page builder, select the block, change the field, save.

4 · Section with a text element — how a piece gets made

How a piece gets made

It starts with a visit. We measure the room, look at the light and the floor, and talk about how you actually live — who sits where, what gets spilled, what has to survive a move. From that we draw a sketch and quote a fixed price. No surprises later.

Then the wood. We buy whole boards from two sawmills in Schleswig-Holstein, let them rest in the workshop for a few months, and pick each one for its grain before a single cut. Joints are cut by hand where it matters and by machine where it doesn't — we're craftsmen, not romantics.

Six to ten weeks later we bring it to you, set it up, and leave a small tin of the same oil we used. Once a year, one evening with a cloth, and the piece will outlive us both.

5 · Feature Grid with the quote icon — what customers say

  • Heading: What our customers say
